DS: Hey Mandy! Haven't been by lately as I've been dealing with a physical problem of my own that will heal in time.Am presently doing a LOT of reading on self-healing...very fascinating. Hope all is well with you, my friend.
Mandy: I would appriciate it if you wouldn't fight on my tag. This is a site about healing, not religion. Thanks I do love you all.
Conjan: You did not quite quote it right, buit I know that one too. Funny how much the three I quoted apply to that one. And funny how you and your family FAIL to uphold them. How is gossiping about others after church going to help fulfill YOUR quote?
momanddad: Conjan, we would like to send you a quote also from Jesus who said if you continue in MY word, then you are my disciples indeed and you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free.
Conjan: I thought a few quotes were in order. They are all from Jesus Christ. "Let he who is free of sin, cast the first stone" or maybe "Judge not, lest ye be Judged." or perhaps "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." They are ALL good quotes. And Mandy and her friends and no-blood family live by them. Do you? We all are really hoping you have a good afternoon today Mandy! And a minimum of hassle form the narrow-minded.
Mandy: Thanks for looking at my site. I am a long way from being done
mom: Hello Mandy, this is mom and dad, we are ready your website. We also read John's. Very Interesting
Mandy: Hello Conjan
Mandy: Thank you for the good wishes. I am doing all that I can to keep a straight head
Conjan: Hello.
Shadren ^~V~^: Best of luck with the business venture! It's hard, exciting, stressful, but if you give it heart and straight, common sense thinking you can make it. Cheers.
John: I like the Alacorn picture.
Mandy: That is absolutly fine if you want to put me on your friends list and I will do the same ;)
DS: Was also going to ask if I could add you to my friend's list? Please feel free to do the same if you want to.
DS: Got ya bookmarked, sunshine. Just driopping by to say hello...You have a lot to share and I look forewrd to seeing this jurnal grow and reflecting your own journey. Is it true that Apollo's birthdate is Feb.07? Just something that I read once and stayed with me...largely because it's mine as well... be well, my friend and look forward to sharing more in the timne to come about our journeys.

NMT (Neuromuscular Tecniques)

  • Mood: Relaxed!!

Today we worked on some Neuromuscular Techniques. We got on the tables and practiced the different techniques. The one that really got me was the Un-Coiling. This is where, only on coiled muscles, you grasp the muscle and work it out like you would a rolled up piece of paper.

We worked this technique on the Trapizius muscle. If you are tender there it can really smart in the beginning, but afterward I felt totally loose.

The other techniques that we practices were Torcing, Chucking, Fascia stripping, and Fascia stretching.

These are much different from the other techniques that I typically employ. I prefer the soft approach, but for people who have a lot of tension these release beautifully.

I also practiced with the different tools used in NMT. The t-bar is the one that I used tonight. This is a nice substitute to using the thumb.

These techniques will be extremely useful for those clients that have a lot of tension from injury and severe athletics.

I look forward to using them.

Beginning class again

Today was the first day of neuromuscular, and therapeutic massage. We have started, as always, a little behind. Everyone has just returned from break and so remembering the muscles is a little slow going for everyone.

We are looking at tissue dysfuncition and the cause of most stresses in the body. Either caused by physical aliments or mental negativity.

I have learned that most knots, or tight spots consisit of built-up acids and other byproducts from the body. These are mostly caused from iscemia, or a lack of blood flow. As massage therapists we release these tissues and allow blood to re-enter and therefore break-up all of the waste.

This could also be the cause of many emotional blocks as well. In the sense that we have blocks that are not recieving the correct amount of positive thought flowing thru. If you just stretch your mind, or emotional state you can allow room for those positive thoughts to enter in.

There are so many ways that the body informs us on how to become more aware.

Extreme illness and discontent

  • Mood: Sorrow
  • Music: Always, Real Life

Someone very dear to me has recently had a break-down of a Spiritual, Mental and Physical magnatude. A combination of stress, and a spiritual unfullfillment cause his Body to break down. The internal balance was tripped.

Being a Healer I only want to help, but unfortunatly due to my own lack of balance, I have lost trust with this individual. It is extremely difficult for him to allow me to help heal him.

This is a perfect example of how Trust is an initial step to helping your clients. You must always keep their trust in order for them to feel comfortable around you. They must be at ease before you can even get down to the deeper issues that are the basis of their illness.

At this point all I can hope to do is re-gain that trust with him, so I can possibly help him heal even in a small way. That is my mission and intent.

Starting the business

  • Mood: Excited
  • Music: Meat Loaf "Back into Hell" God yahoo's good!!!

I am leaving a simple post today.

I just wanted to let you all know that I am starting to get all the little details together for the business. It is a long process that involves a lot of work, and unfortunatly better schooling than I am currently getting.

Here are some of my marketing papers:

I am excited that these came out as well as they did. I, of course, have a lot more work to do, but they are getting there.

One step at a time.

Letting the Happiness in

  • Mood: Struggling yet content
  • Music: None currently

In a time of struggle with my darker self I have hurt many along the way. I have constantly thought of no one but myself and that has caused a lot of problems in both my professional, spiritual, and personal life.

I have recently found a cure for this drain that I inflict on so many. I just let the Happiness in. I allow the ability to be happy just wash over me. Even though I struggle with my belief and acceptance I just remember that I am really happy.

No matter what I struggle with I just sit back and say to myself, Mandy you are happy. The people around you Love you completely. Let it in Dammit!

There is a quote that has meant the most to me in the past, and I have seemed to forget it recently.

" The greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to Love, and be Loved in return.

It really is that simple. I complicate it in my mind and it causes Chaos. Remember to Love and just let it in. Let yourself how to be Happy.

Future Winds

  • Mood: Quietly watching those I love
  • Music: Dj shadow
Tonight is the night of the Future Winds and I find myself in quite a state. I am struggling to become a healer and everyone around me is in need of healing. I find it so difficult not to want to just give up. I know that Diana is helping me and she is teaching me all that she can in such a short time and I find myself just wanting to give into Darkness.
The Light is always there. The one who teaches me that happens to be the one in the most need of healing. I am not sure exactly of what kind of healing he needs though. He is my husband and the love of my life. The one who teaches me all that I have accomplished in this year and he is needing healing more than ever.
I need the strength to lift him up and make him healthy again. First, no more heart attacks. Second, love and tenderness. Eventually he will be healthy again and I want to help with that.

Massage a form of healing.

  • Mood: Trying to accomplish a sense of balance.
  • Music: The cranberries, Enya, Loraina Mckinnett
Massage Therapy has had a bad reputation for quite a long time. People have had the misconception that it is a form of prostitution. At one point and time it quite possibly was.

However when the techniques began being used by the "god of Medicine" Asculepius, they were looked at with some awe.  Hippocrates "the father of Medicine" also used massage and spa techniques with his healing gymnasium as well. Both of these men happen to be a descendants of Apollo. The sun God, who was greatly involved in medicine, as well as his lover Diana.

A lot of massage therapists are more interested in making money, than in healing people. As a massage therapist you have to understand that it is not just a matter of fixing the body, or offering a "fluff and buff" which is a quick and relaxing massage.

Those things do help make a person feel more relaxed and less stressed which offers a preventative measure to health. It is also about fixing the spirit, and mind as well. Healing is a matter of the three aspects Mind, Body, and Spirit. The three have to be in sync in order to offer a balanced equalibrium.

I am on a path, even though I am young, where Healing is my life's ambition. That will then make me be the person I truly want to be. This is my quest.
To tell you the truth, I have no idea where to begin!
